This is not possible if you are ganging windows together as they are still individual windows.

If you can't do this type of window with the standard Archicad window objects then this is where you start looking at 3rd party solutions (i.e. something like CadImage door and window builder) or start creating your own library parts.

You can also make your own windows from slabs modelled in plan. The more detailed you make the slabs the more detailed your frame will be.

Multiple Sash Openings?

<T>Afternoon,

I'm trying to create a window that has three equally sized, top-hung panes on one side with a solid sash on the other (see attached image), but I can't seem to separate the openings.

What is the best way to go about this? I know I can draw this in myself, but then what's the point of ArchiCAD.

Cheers in advance.</T>

Well, I've been playing around and so far the best result i've achieved has been from making two separate windows and setting the 'ganging' on them.

Next problem however seems to be getting them as one entity on the schedule.

Never mind guys, just sorted a 'Window with Sidelight 17' and there was a tiny tiny tiny tick box for a lower transom.

So, just incase you were wondering, this was what I was going for:

Thank you Barry for the advice, I haven't used any of the 3rd party tools, so it'll be interesting to give that a go.

I thought I was going down a dead end with the ganging windows.

Now, instead of 3 divisions to the sidelight, time to try and get 4 divisions. Anyone see how to get more than just an upper, main, or lower transoms?

Can't seem to get on the bimcomponents.com site right now, but I think the modular joinery window is on there. That could probably achieve this easily.
