Hello Hmooslechner,
what you are trying to do is simply beautiful.

What need to be done is:
1- to introduce some values lines in the parameters script, it's easy for a new user to put wrong numbers in log diameters obtaining strange things;
2- insert hotspots;
3- abandon project2 in 2d script, you are using a lots elements and surfaces to leave archicad do all the work alone;
4- put a preview picture or your object will not be easily spotted in the list.

But i think you'll be best changing instrument.
Your object is not a wall, you can't open windows or apply doors.
But this is only my opinion.

Good work

<R>In Archicads wall - there is the possibility to create log-house - walls.

Even when they are able to be edited different in hight on the corners - they look very artificial - not natural.

One reason for this is because the logs are no cones with different start-end-diameters.

The right way is dicribed in this Video-example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMxCL8WaQAQ

I tried to make a simple GDL to recreate this way or working.
Its not really ready now - because the user-interface is not very sohisticated, but you'
ll get the idea in my german preview video here:

<S></S>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amfR_sKQmvM<E></E>

Would it be useful for a you to develop this better than now?

To try at your own risk:
to gpowless:

This seems to be an Archicad-add-on - much further developd than i have it in mind. This is made for leading the hole process to CNC manufactoring.

My little simple part shall be made to be able to construct simple natural looking logwalls with the normal gdl-tool - for natural de-barkd treestrunks.

A tree trunk comes with 2 different sides - and the traditional way of building log walls is to alter the direction of each second trunk - like shown in the first video-example.

I just looked the Vid from Archilogs:
<S></S><LINK_TEXT text="http://www.mad.fi/mad/LogsVideo12Eng/Lo ... 12Eng.html">http://www.mad.fi/mad/LogsVideo12Eng/LogsVideo12Eng.html</LINK_TEXT><E></E>
and they use the industrial methode.

I dont know if they are able to display what i want to do.

i tried to develop this thing some further steps:

simple logwall with sealing - "tongue and groove"

workflow like in the video below:

(It usually takes some days that Bimcomponents set my objects free - but then:
in the meantime: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hwwmugtck2dov8s/Blockbau1.pln - at your own risk!)

in the object-dialog look for "logwallSystem"

place it in the drawing.

It looks complex but - near the middle of the ground-drawing - there is a user-interface where you can draw editable hotspots to switch the most needed settings. try this!

Features:

1. free movable 2d-view with movable hotspots - switchable
2. its possible to draw every single position of any tree-trunk at wall-beginning.
3. in ground-view there is a userinterface to switch tho often used settings
4. a polygon to cut contours - switchabele and free placeable
5. 10 free mavable rectangular cutouts - to place windows or else
6. sealing tongue and groove begin at wall crossingpoint
8. switch on simple measurements
9. begin with halften block or full in z-direction
10. implanted inaccuracy to get more reality in 3d-representation
