Hi everyone, i'm new here and i'm coming for help.
This is my problem: i want to get the parameters of a wall using global variables like a door or a window do.
Can i do it without using window or door subtype?

The object needs to be a part of (or associated with) the wall in order to get its properties.
So that is why doors or windows are needed.
You may have luck with a lable object as well but it has to be used with the lable tool - not the regular object tool.

As far as I know no regular object can get wall properties.

Yes, i was afraid about that, only walls, windows, and labels can get properties.

Ok, i have a solution:
Developing the object as a wall accessory add on takes the length, area, width, etc.
