The Object was probably scripted to be a single size. You can get around this by saving it as a new Object (File > Libraries and Objects > Save Selection as... > Object... command), which will add code to allow overall size changes in the X, Y and Z directions.

<T>Hello.
I downloaded and embedded an object. I am trying to resize it, but it wouldn't work. It shows the diminished dimensions in the info box, but in plan the object is the same.
What can I do?
Thank you.</T>

What error is it giving if any? If none then it looks like you will need to re-install AC because that is not normal.

Just to be sure, the steps are:

1. Select Object
2. Right Click on object and select convert to morph
3. Select Object
4. Edit-> Reshape-> Resize
5. Select either Graphically or unselect it so that you can use a %
6. If graphically then click to establish the base point, then click to define the existing dimension, then click to choose the final size.
7. If by percentage then write the % and then click to apply.

You can resize Morphs also by having the whole Morph selected and using the Box Stretch command of the Pet Palette.

Here is an ArchiCAD playlist on YouTube consisting of 9 short clips showing all aspects of Box Stretching Morphs:
