Use the PROJECT2 to measure the distance between it (the true position) and your symbol view.
Then move the 2D symbol that distance.
Now delete or comment out (place ! at the beginning of the line) the PROJECT2 command in the 2D script.
You will be left with just your 2D symbol view - hopefully in the correct position.

<T>Hi,

I have created an object from selection in 3D view and then edited the 2D symbol after my liking. Everything is good until I realize that the object in 3D do not have the same coordinates as the object in 2D. I can't seem to find any anchor point in the 2D view. How do I edit the object so that the 2D and 3D position is the same? I did copy my 2D symbol into the 2D edit window.</T>

You may use Project2 command to chech if the 2d script content is the same as 3d view.

in the beginning of 2d script put this:

PROJECT2 3,270,2

Best Regards,
I wrote PROJECT2 3,270,2 in the empty 2D script and now the object looks like a torked copy of the 3D overhead view...How can I just edit the 2D symbol without getting the 3D overhead view nor an issue with displacement between 2D and 3D?
