<T>We can't seem to figure out how to place a double door and make each swing identical in width. While in default the double doors are symmetrical (if the door opening stays at 5'-0" in width), once we change the width to either larger or smaller the swings and doors change size (see image).

We're selecting an interior wood door.

Should we select a different door object?

Where is the control to make both doors the same size?
Check the "Shape" Settings.
Define the panel sizes as "Proportion"
and set to 50%
(At least, that's how the D2 door works)

Thanks Stress Co., that looks like it did the trick.

To find the setting on one's own was impossible unless, i'm guessing, one reads the entire manual or heard of the feature when it was introduced.

Too bad it isn't set to 50% and Proportion as the default.

Thanks for the image too, it really helped.
Agree! This has been asked for many times over the years. The current defaults that you discovered do not seem to be useful for anyone that I can imagine.

I can understand the programmers or whoever decides what the final layouts of the object's information window is, would want users to understand that this new feature is available, but as an architect it's rare to see asymmetrical double doors. I see them mostly in loading dock areas where there may be a need for extra width.

This is really a hierarchical design issue when designing the interface, that the most important things should be the easiest to access, or, have two door objects and completely avoid this situation.
