Stud Wall Object

<R>Hi folks...

Does anyone have any good suggestions for creating a stud wall object like this one from Applecore Designs but for free:

<S></S>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcuIjDV8lM0<E></E>

Ideally, I would create a composite wall with insulation and studs built-in, but this appears impossible in ArchiCAD right now.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for the speedy reply. I am using AC15. Will this not work on there?

Cheers,
You my friend are a frikkin genius! Thank you so much!

I will have a play right now and hopefully I can hit the jackpot!

One thing though, I don't think you can select timber studwork unfortunately, only metal profiles! That's a bit rubbish of them don't you think!

There is another forum that would definitely benefit from your suggestion and I will post it soon to update them, because this software allows you to create composite walls etc. with scaled and correctly placed batten insulation. That is something that many ArchiCAD users seem to find a nightmare!

Thanks again!

glad I could help, what other forum are you talking about?

Norgips are plasterboard manufacturers and supply a full range of plasterboards as well as complete drywall systems. As a vast amount of plasterboard stud walls feature timber studs, I would have thought they would acknowledge this and helpfully feature a timber stud option in their object but hey ho!

The other thread I was talking about was:

<S></S><LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... highlight=">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=19077&highlight=</LINK_TEXT><E></E>

Although, my intended comments appear to be way out of date as the answer can be found here:
You don't have to go to the Profile settings, just use the Insulation 01 in the composite wall dialog window and pick Fit to skin.
Works as it supposed to.
