Go to File > Libraries and Objects > Library Manager. From there, click "Add" at the top, and click "Link Library". Then, browse to your Graphisoft folder and re-link the library.

<T>Hello,

I recently closed a project and accidentally clicked an option to not save the library to save disk space (or something like that). It seems as though I should be able to to reisnstall the object library back into my project.

If I open a new project, then all of the library objects are there.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I thought about cutting and pasiting my existing building parts into a new project, but I have so many things like zones and layouts that I can't transfer and would prefer not to lose.

I'm thinking that with the Library Manager I should be able to extract the object library from another project, but I haven't been able to figure out how.

I've attached a screen shot showing my Library Manager drop down menu

Thank you,

Tim,

Post some information about your machine and software in your signature (like mine). That way we can get an idea what you're dealing with.

When you install Archicad, it installs the library on your machine. If the library is missing from a specific project, you should be able to load it again using the library manager.

If you accidentally deleted the library from your machine, you can download it from the disc.

You do not have to copy and paste into a new project.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for your reply.

i5 CPU 2.3 GHz
6 GB RAM
64 bit
WIndows 7

The machine is up to date. The software is Stundent version 15, that I downloaded on-line (so no disc). I've used it a lot wothout any problems. I think that what actually happened is that maybe it asked me while opening the project if I wanted to not open the library to save disc space (disc space is not an issue on my machine), I think that is was a standard question at opening that I have seen before. I probably worked on the project and then saved it, which I guess meant that it was saved without the library.

I know that the library is still on the machine, I just can't figure out how to access it. I'm hoping that I can open a new, or another, project and then extract it, but it doesn't seem to want to come as one piece.

I need to install the stairs and furnishings. All that shows up in the library that I have (in this project only) is a chair, a few trees and a skylite. Possibly objects that I used at one time on this project.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

Thank you,

That is your object menu box, not your library manager box.

You're the man! I tried something similar a 1000 times, but I guess not with the right sequence.

A huge relief.

Thank you,
