Hi Peter, thanks I'd appreciate the extra COORD info you have. I sent a PM with email.

Hi Piotr,
Thank you as well. I'll try tracking down the macro but, honestly, I'm a bit nervous about fiddling with macros... have you done this successfully? The US library used to be easy to customize door and window scrips, now it is many layers of code macros.
How to align textures on glass in windows?

<T>I am experimenting with textures on glazing to be used in windows and doors. On a wall you can align in 3D a texture/fill pattern.
If you try to align that same texture on the glass in a door or window, the command will not work.
I was hoping to have a button in the fill attribute settings to center in the applied instance but, alas, there is yet to be such a choice.

Is there a way to do this, ideally not customizing each door and window?
Similar to door/window opening symbols, I would like to choose which side(s) of the glass it will show on.
Typically the symbol will be:
- centered in the horizontal direction
- default centered in the vertical direction
- able to adjust height vertically to avoid overlapping clutter with d/w markers, ,opening symbols, and everything else we architects always want to have centered.

TIA</T>

Hello Erika,
Have you experimented with the COOR command ?
I think this command is what you are looking for.
Years ago, I was able to control the fill origin of a
material that had a fill assigned to it.
Let us know if this command is what you are looking for.
Thanks,
Hi Peter,
No, I haven't. I'll play around with that, thanks.
Are there ways to do this where the solution doesn't result in customizing all the doors and windows?
Thanks

You wrote:
"Are there ways to do this where the solution doesn't result in customizing all the doors and windows?"

Not that I know of, Unfortunately. You will have to modify the
3D script of each door or window.
Thanks,
Hello Erika,
How are you doing with playing around with the COOR command ?
I have some information about the use of the COOR command that is not
clear in the GDL manual if you want it.
Thanks,
Regrading the doors and windows in the standard library:
The doors are practically one object to modify that is called with different options by the particular doors (but not that simple - see below).
Windows are quite different - there are series of such objects, yet the doors and windows are the most complicated objects in AC library - series of macros called by each other - but the good side is that modifying one of the macros would do the trick.

Best Regards,
I made couple of customizations of the windows mostly...

I cannot give You the specific macro that will have the glass right now...(it might be starting with "casement")

The problem is that in such customization - all the macros in line to the one must be changed -You should have to relink to the modified ones for all macros in the "pyramid" going backwards from the last modified one.

Best Regards,
Thanks Piotr, I haven't had a chance to look yet.
If it works it would also be handy to have a "T" for tempered or "S" for safety glass...
