topic Revit-IFC-Library Parts in Libraries & objects

<T>Everytime I look around I find Library Parts (don't know if that's the name in REVIT) that I wish were available in .gsm format
Even if any parametric ability is lost, some parts will cery usefull (MEP in particular)
Before I search for a friend using Revit, I would like to ask around here?
Is is possible for Revit to save those small files in IFC format and then have Archicad pick those IFC and merge them?

The lack of MEP parts and Fire Protection parts in .gdm format is dissapointing and the model quality is compromissed.

All suggestions will be appreciated.</T>

There is a workflow between ArchiCAD with MEP Modeler and Revit MEP.
There is even a free Add-In that you can install in Revit MEP and which omtimizes the IFC file in Revit for export/import to/from ArchiCAD:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archi ... erability/">http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/interoperability/</LINK_TEXT>

IF you want to see the workflow you can find it in part2 of the Collaboration ITG:
