    <description>No, GLOB_LAYER can only tell you what layer an object has been placed in.&lt;BR /&gt;
It doesn't allow you to set the layer.&lt;BR /&gt;
There is no way to do that through GDL.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
The best you can do if you want an object in a particular layer is to have a "Preferred_layer" parameter in the object with the required layer name as the value.&lt;BR /&gt;
Then check if it matched the GLOB_LAYER.&lt;BR /&gt;
If not you can tell the script to show a warning message that the object is in the wrong layer.&lt;BR /&gt;
