I try to save an existing GDL in a binary format, but ...

I want to have a version of my GDL-object where the code is not visible when I press ctrl+shift+O.
So I open my GDL-code and choose Save As. Then I check the binary option and save.
I put a new instance of the object into AC, but I can still see the code.
I've tried to remove the object from the library too, and reload it into the library, but it doesn't help. I can still see the code.
Any idea?

Do you have a solution yet?
you don't have the object twice?
Is the geometry in the object also text?

You can select a group of 3D elements and save those as an object in binary format.
But as far as I know saving an existing script in binary format does nothing.

There is a little program called "HideScripts" that came with the library development kit I think (many years ago since I downloaded it - back in version 6.5 or 7 days).

This will make the scripts invisible to the casual user but it is possible to see them again if you know what to do.
Beware though that this will make the object un-editable so you will need to keep a master (un-hidden) copy around in case you need to modify it.

Unzip this file and you will have an EXE file - so I am guessing it is for Windows machines only.
Simply place this in a folder and copy your .GSM object into the same folder.
Then simply drag the GSM object onto the Hidescrpts.exe file and you will be prompted if you are sure you want to hide the scripts.

I stress - make sure you use a copy of the GSM file.
It is not easy to unhide the scripts once done.

I've been searching for the HideScript tool, or something similar, but I didn't find it. Do someone has a link to it?
