Ok, here's a quicky that I should know but don't.
How do I insert auto-text into a simple object that (say) gives me the layout number it's placed in.
Basically I want the object to give me the layouts number plus 1...

You can use for example;

text2 0, 0, "<LAYOUTNUMBER>"
or
text2 0, 0, "<LAYOUTID>"

Basically I want the object to give me the layouts number plus 1...

I am afraid that the autotext is 'dummy', so you can only show the value of it but you can't use the value for any calculations or so.
