<T>I have a custom wall type label object that is working just fine in our main models (new bldg & exist bldg), but when those models are hotlinked into our layout model, the object appears as a missing object. It is the only object that is not showing up. See attached image

Both models are using the same libraries, from the BIM Server. We are using ArchiCAD 14 #3477 (USA).

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks,</T>

I just figured out that there are wall tags in the layout model somewhere, hense the (68). It is probably safe to conclude that they are screwing things up.

I fixed it. There were wall type tags in the layout model that were not attached to walls. I found them in several details.

As soon as I removed them all or turned them into a regular label, I reloaded the libraries and all the wall type tags in the hotlinked models came back to life!

That interesting. Originally were all the tags missing in the hotlinked file, or just the ones that were not attached to walls? And were the latter placed as objects or labels?

I've had issues with hotlinked library parts before but not that one.

Incidentally it looks like you can still safely remove one more part from your embedded library.

Cheers,
Yes. What I think happened is one of my users (no longer here) copied plan elements from the hotlink, pasted them into a layout model detail and then flattened everything. Arrrg!!!

I have taken this opportunity to clean up all my duplicate library parts.

Thanks.
