topic Re: storefront door object in Libraries & objects

thanks Laszlo. under the 'door panel' parameter I set 'middle rail elevation' to 'off'. I would think it should grey out the option under 'door frame - middle rail width'. It doesn't. When i set 'door frame - middle rail width' to zero this is when I get the error. if i assign any positive value the error message goes away but a rail naturally shows up at the base of the door panel. Hmmm. I can set this value to 1/16" as a workaround but perhaps this is a (minor) bug.

Perhaps a better solution in a library update would allow independent stile and rail widths for the 'style 3' door panel type. Although for that style of door panel when you change the 'bottom rail width' it makes no difference to the preview. The rails and stiles are a fixed dimension (it appears anyway). The parameters of 'middle rail width' and 'bottom rail width' seem to be in an odd spot under 'door frame' in lieu of 'door panel' IMO.

<T>question about the D1 Storefront 1 14 object

received this message after editing the object settings

Polygon is degenerated.
at line 546 in the 3D script of file dp_storefront_panels.gsm.

preview looks fine once i stop the process ... just annoying everytime i toggle to 3D or schedule.

I'm trying to create a US wide stile door. I think the problem is the style of door panel I've selected. style 3 doesn't appear to have the option for the rails and stiles to be independent widths. therefore i've selected style 1 with the middle rail turned 'off' so i can adjust the frame thickness on side of door panel to the size i want.

not a student of GDL script (yet) so i haven't a clue how to go about checking the error.

many thanks.</T>

I would check the parameters defining the geometry.
Maybe one parameter is set to zero that should not be and this causes the generated geometry.
