Your image needs an &lt;FONT color="blue"&gt;alpha channel&lt;/FONT&gt; for the transparency. There is some information about this in the help files: for more information with images, go to Help &amp;gt; ArchiCAD Help, when your browser opens click on the "Search" tab, and input "alpha channel" in the search box, in the results list "Material Texture Panel" will lead to detailed information, at the bottom of this page open the &lt;FONT color="blue"&gt;Alpha Channel Effects&lt;/FONT&gt; section. You can also search this forum for &lt;FONT color="blue"&gt;alpha channel&lt;/FONT&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.&lt;BR /&gt;

i've used archi facade to turn a picture of a cut-out tree to an object so i can use it in my 3D rendering but the picture still has no transparency....like those in archicad...need to know where's the problem-thank's in advance&lt;/T&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>Make sure you are not using JPG. It does not support transparency. PNG does and you can also use Photoshop native files (PSD) within ArchiCAD. Most image editing programs can convert JPG to PNG via "save as". If you are on a Mac, &lt;A href="http://www.lemkesoft.com/content/188/graphicconverter.html" target="_blank"&gt;Graphic Converter&lt;/A&gt; can convert just about any image format to any other (even old Atari and Amiga formats).</description>
