<T>Hello,

I'm working on my portfolio and I went back to work on my old projects from 2 or 3 years ago (AC 11 and 12 files), and of course, I'm having trouble because of the libraries being old and the AC14 library doesn't work with the objects I've used from those older libraries.
Is there a way in AC14 to easily open old AC files with old libraries ?
Do I have to download all the libraries (from AC11 and 12) separately ?

thanks.</T>

In the
C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD 14 INT\ArchiCAD Migration Libraries
folder you will find the migration libraries for the 4 versions prior to v14. Try to use those when opening old files in AC14.

This is quite a common issue for everyone. since projects often span multiple releases of ArchiCAD.

Rightly or wrongly what we often do, is leave the original ArchiCAD library attached and not attach the new ArchiCAD library to historic projects. This avoids duplication of libraries.

This works reasonably well in Solo project mode but would not be advised if your using a BIM set-up. There are a number of migration libraries that can be used instead.

There is a migration tool in ArchiCAD 14. Not sure how well this works but it gives you another option to try.
