Simple Box with Text?

Trying to hack together a simple box with 2 editable digits in it.
I'm sure it will be obvious from attached images that I haven't a clue, but I'm trying anyway.
I created it at project zero.
I've opened the gdl guide listed in the help menu of 14 and have searched through it, but if it's obvious what I should be trying, I'm still missing it.
So it would be nice if someone could at least point me to a relevant page/example, I'd much appreciate it.
The box does not need to rotate, just have easy edibility of just two digits.

The GDL parameter in your first screenshot is "KeyNotewTe_A" (which you can feel free to give a nicer name). The string you have entered "KeyNote Text" is just a user prompt string.

So, your code needs to use KeyNotewTe_A without quotes to retrieve the value of that parameter.

I think the depository has an object that does what you're looking for... will look...

Hi Karl
How to set the parameter helped alot.
That got me 98 percent of the way there.
Thanks for the links, I only had older JM in my Jm stuff folder.
However, on goes the quest.
The first of "newer" object with your help shows the default settings.
The second show what I've been able to control.
I went back to gdl manual and under "rich text" but no go with what I've tried.
I've futzed with the script many ways (not shown) trying to get some further
control over font size so far with no luck.
Hint, or link to place I might read about that?

Ok, pretty sure that I have to make a text font size parameter which I have shown below.
I've assumed it would have to got somewhat near the Keynotewte_A, but
I've tried before,after, with and with out commas and keep getting error
mesages.
If so, what's the correct syntax and location?

However I'm afraid that after trying to understand what specific part of your code should be added and where it is to be added for over an hour, it's
become apparent to me that I'm not getting it, (maybe in my next lifetime).
But thanks anyway.

EDITED: Well maybe I should try once again when I'm not so frustrated at it.

Lec,

Is there a reason that you are trying to use RICH TEXT for such a simple object? It would be far easier for you to define a style and just use the TEXT2 command.
