topic Skylight Pyramid 14 (USA) in Libraries & objects

<T>I placed a Skylight Pyramid 14 outside of a roof object and manually cut a hole for the skylight. However, the skylight is tilted about 15° and I need it at 0°. When I look through the parameters I can find how to change the slope calculation type from degrees to percentage and so forth, but I cannot find the parameter to enter in the actual degree angle itself.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Could someone check to see? This is actually a big deal and fairly immediate so any help would be appreciated.

Could some one advise me if it becomes necessary on how and who to contact to get a fix for this. I'm going to probably need this ASAP.</T>

zeropointreference:

You first need to place the Skylight outside the Roof (see warning below) so it is not associated with the Roof and does not use its slope. Then under Parameters the Roof Pitch is available, and can be set to 0. I did not look at the code of the object, but my guess is that when the Skylight is associated to a Roof its slope is tied to the Roof and so cannot be changed independently.
I was using the eyedropper to activate the skylight tool and to copy the parameters of a skylight that was already placed in the roof. But the skylight I am having problems with was actually placed outside of a roof object and complete with the warning. It looks like maybe it's a kind of bug then when you place a unlinked skylight copied from a linked skylight, the parameter fails to appear.

I reselected the tool from the toolbar, changed skylight objects and then switch back. When I place an unlinked skylight that way, the roof pitch and thickness parameters show up.

And thank you for your very prompt reply, you're a lifesaver!

zeropointreference:

Probably once the Skylight is associated with a Roof, then those parameters are set, and would be transfered with the eyedropper, so to get the default settings you need an unplaced instance. Glad to see that you found the solution.
