This is not good enough. I want threads.
Steve,

No it is not.

I think the GDL Cook Book has a 3D bolt script in it. However, I haven't looked at it in a long time.

Yep the cookbook has a script for this. In fact, I recently made a parametric bolt, nut and washer combo based on standard sizes. If someone will remind me on Monday, I'll post it.

Yes, we do use the metric, not the "imperial" system.
I guess the U.S. is the only country that still uses inches and that weird 1/8
1/16... although when I was living near Denver, the guys there always tried to teach me how to use feet&inches . <E>🙂</E> (With no result I must confess)
I'm not sure what you're asking. Kind of a catalog?
The conversion is very easy. 1 inch = 25,4 mm

Ex: 3/8" = 9,525 mm result in 10 mm
1/2" = 12,7 mm result in 12,5 mm

I could not see your object, but most of the time, since the machines
used to build the nuts and bolts are made in GERMANY for the USA, they
use the imperial units.
It's not unusual you ask for a 1/2" - 12.5mm "something", old dealers understant de imperial and the young ones the metric. <E>🙂</E>

I'm looking for standard dimensions. So yes, sort of like a catalogue. For the imperial version I found a table of dimensions for all the common bolt sizes. The table had for each bolt diameter:

• bolt head height
• bolt head diameter
• bolt head width (measured from flat to flat)
• thread distance (how many inches of thread if not fully threaded)
• washer thickness
• washer diameter
• and a few other dimensions I don't recall at the moment.

If I had a metric data base for the bolts you normally use, it would be easy to redo the object. The data can come in a variety of forms. If you find a table send it to me, I can probably work with it.
