topic Object heights in Libraries & objects

<R>When I select a kitchen cabinet object - I want to place it on the wall from at 1300, height 800mm high (finishing at 2200mm from floor).

However, when I do this and view it in 3D it has been positioned sky high instead of the correct place.

Here are some screen shots (just to help my explanation make more sense):

First one is of the objects tool box and (in the next post) the second one is what happens after I press OK.

Why does it do this - I'm guessing I made an error somewhere (I do notice the numbers have changed after I press OK but that's not my doing, that's CAD doing it! Please help? I'm still learning how to use this software.

Thanks </R>

kiwistudent:

Under Parameters, the first parameter is "Placement Height". You can use this to set the height of the cabinet above the story, or set it to 0 and use the "to Home Story" input under Preview and Positioning.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
