I too am having trouble with libraries in AC14 today. Yesterday and for the past week since we've installed AC14 have been fine, but suddenly this morning I don't have any doors, windows, or objects.

I am working within teamworks and our shared libraries show to be loaded correctly. If I look to place a new door or window from the library and customize parameters for the object I don't show any doors or windows actually loaded as part of a library.

When I use the library manager to add libraries, I am unable to select a folder to add.

This behavior is very strange considering everything worked well up through yesterday evening.

Thinking back I may have installed updates with iTunes and Quicktime yesterday. Could this be the problem? I know there have occasionally been issues with Quicktime updates in the past.

Any insight to potential solutions would be greatly appreciated
We had a similar problem, Teamwork file, AC14, been working in it for a week. I opened file and no library parts from ArchiCAD 14 Library. Library showed as loaded. Using LM refreshed, updated, deleted and reloaded, nothing worked. Eventually had to unjoin/rejoin the project (after release all of course) to get them to show up. Have not been able to recreate the problem. Assuming that something in my local database got corrupted somehow as it was just for me, other teammates could see all fine.

this sounds like the exact kind of problem I've had. Although leave project and rejoin didn't help. I've just uninstalled AC14 and am reinstalling to see if I can fix the problem. The interesting this is that the other team members working on the project can see things just fine.
Maybe it is a local database issue, but still I would think leave project and rejoin would solve that if that were the case.
That sounds helpful, but I am finding quite a bit of data in my users/graphisoft/TW Data folder

Just how much should I be deleting? Is it safe to delete the entire local folder for the specific project, or do I need to dig for a specific file to delete?
Thanks in advance
Unfortunately I'm not sure. I would be very careful about deleting unaffected projects. We are still testing 14 before full office implementation so my TW Data folder did not have much in it so I deleted the entire thing. We had also, just before getting 14 had some serious network issue with our BIM Server in 13, we were dealing with GS Support and to make a long story short saved off all TW projects as solo, rebuilt the BIM Server and deleted all the TW Data at that time so I had no legacy stuff floating around when I deleted the whole thing this time.

thanks for the help. I am currently "leaving" all TW projects in AC13 and AC14. Then I'll delete everything and start fresh - hopefully with success.

I hope that GS is looking at this issue. we've otherwise had great success with TW2 both in AC13 and up until yesterday in TW14. I see this as a serious issue. We are only using AC14 for one project at this point.
This seems to be a bug in the handling of this file: TW Data\L-2\LibraryCacheFolderWrapper_v2.xml

When deleting libraries using the Local Data Manager, this file is not updated.
Eventually resulting in empty or missing library parts in the local library cache which causes doors/windows/objects... being unavailable.

This is fixed in AC14 3202. Hotfix 1 will contain it. Until then make sure not to use the Local Data Manager for deleting libraries. (Just delete the whole TW Data\L-2 folder)
Also, I had a project specific library that had parts that I had created, as well as stairs, texture maps, etc. Am having a hard time figuring out how to get that library back into the project. In V12- I simply loaded the library via the lib. manager. Can't do it in this version.....it appears I have to load one piece at a time.....or am I missing something Am having a hard time figuring out how to get that library back into the project.

Try deleting the c:\users\username\Graphisoft\TW Data folder, then all library parts will be downloaded again to this cache from the server.

I had received a call from Graphisoft Support indicating specifically that I should use the Local Data Manager to delete multiple copies of any libraries. Now I read here I shouldn't use Local Data Manager. Very confused and still not sure what I should delete or not and which way to delete it.

This is also impacting solo projects which are using the BIM Server Libraries.

And I tried deleting the L-2 folder. Then in the library manager reload all the libraries and still nothing is there.

When looking back again at the TW Data folder the L-2 Folder is back and it contains and LIBC folder and the LibraryCacheFolderWrapper_v2.xml file. Inside the LIBC folder are 3 folders LIBR, LIBR_0 and LIBR_1 which I assume is one for each of the libraries that I tried to reload. But each of those folders is completely empty.

Any idea when this Hotfix will be issued? This is a big problem, holding up office wide implementation because there's no way I'm telling Joe Average User to go in and start deleting TW Data files, and it's doing it fairly regularly on our test project, so if I had to go around and take care of this for the whole office everytime it cropped up would be a major time burden.

Morning All

I had similar troubles with the L-2 folder, which I deleted and the file seems to work fine again - however it seems that it is only a temporary solution as I have to sporadically delete the TW Data folder when the project file loads again without the libraries.

Furthermore, I seem to have another problem when working with teamwork files where more than one team member is working on it and I'm not sure this is a library/TW Data related problem too.

Each time I try and load the local copy of my project file I get a window that asks me to reload from the autosaved file.

Then obviously I have to reload from Autosave and then I get a window that says the local copy and the server copy are no longer synchronised.

And this happens each time I load the local copy. I have tried re-sharing the project file, I have tried re-saving it under another name and then re-sharing again. I have tried everything I can think of - it seems that it is only my machine that seems to have the problem out of the two users - but we've checked the network connections, BIM connections and everything seems fine from that side too.

Anybody have any ideas?
