topic Save as Door / Window Wall Face in Libraries & objects

Hi all,

Is it just me or is the wall face definition non-existent when saving a custom door / window from the floor plan? If you save from the 3D window, Zero is the wall face with Positive elevation being extrusions out from the wall face and Negative being within the wall. From the floor plan, elevation does not seem to make a difference. The lowest face becomes the wall face with everything else being an extrusion...

When saving from plan, I always thought Z=0 (zero) was the front face of the door/window.

Anything above zero was within the wall.

Anything below would be in front of the window.

But it seems the underside of the lowest element is now the front of the window.

So if you want something in front of the main window, don't save from the plan, or be aware you will have to edit the resulting scripts.
