<T>Hi,
I'm following the advice about modifying objects on Page 15 of the Cookbook - using FRAGMENT2 to add show the 2D Symbol of the object.

I've drawn my symbol using a series of fills, but I want to give the user the option to edit fill pen, background pen, etc. Is there any way to take the info drawn in the Symbol window and turn into a series of, say, POLY2_ commands?

As far as I can tell, playing around with Fragments only allows me to show or hide what's already been drawn in the Symbol window, as opposed to giving the user choice over pen colours, resolution, etc...</T>

Add parameters so they can set customize the part.

If you correctly define the subtype first, those parameters will be added. Then use the GS names of these parameters in your script.

Thanks - I've got the hang of parameters already - my issue is how to relate them in the 2D script to something drawn by hand using the fill tool.

Ie if I draw the plan view of my object in the Symbol window using standard drawing elements (fill, polyline, etc), how do I give the user the option to change the fill and pen types of what I've drawn?

Thanks,
