SidingMaker at corner

I hadn't used Siding Maker (a fancy window object by Mike Rensing, 2000, which cuts siding profiles into walls) in quite some time, but I am sure back in the days it could take corners. Anybody understands what may be going on here now? Each wall has its own window, cutting it infinitely in horizontal (if I move a wall, they will both be cut all along their length).

In older versions, walls used to mitre at an angle.
Now in the last few versions, each wall skin will that is stronger cut square across the weaker skin.
No more angle mitring.
It may have something to do with this.

There is a 'Legacy' option in Project Preferences that will switch it back to the way it used to work, but you will lose other features relating to surfaces and the way elements connect automatically.

Or, you can check the "End Surfaces. Override Using Adjoining Walls" checkbox in the "Model" panel of the Wall displaying the wrong surface.

It is not surfaces (just in case it was in any way related, that setting is one of the first things I tried anyway) —those are window objects cutting the wall with cutpolys following diverse siding profiles. It is the now unmitered corner thing in Barry's reply. One would need to make the object work with the corner window for the concept to work with the new corners (I can't understand how GS didn't buy the object back then; they should buy it now), but I can't access the code.

Is it because your wall reference lines do not join - therefore the walls are not trimming properly?

I have a corner window that cuts both walls so long as the reference lines join.

Yup, corner windows deal with new corners. That's why I am saying SidingMaker would need to be tweaked to be usable for corner windows, which it is not (code, which is hidden, was written in 2000).

No, that is not using the 'corner window' tool.
It is an old window back from around version 6.5 that we still use (amended of course).
It just uses the WALLHOLE (actually now it uses the WALLNICHE) command.
But maybe that is it - the siding maker doesn't use the WALLHOLE as it obviously is not cutting trough the entire wall thickness.
But without access to the code, only the developer could help.
