Hello Svenl!

You can find information on how to do it by using this webpage (sorry for the Norwegian language). http://www.gretheshus.no/Images/Nytt%20objekt.pdf
Graphisoft has a good webpage on this theme: <LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/education/tra ... html#hands">http://www.graphisoft.com/education/training_guides/archived-tutorials.html#hands</LINK_TEXT>
Choose <S></S>Building Objects Creation<E></E> and download a well composed interactive training guide.
In short you place your Object in an empty ArchiCAD File. Choose the Object and click on <S></S>File - Libraries and Objects - Open Object<E></E>. You will then see a <S></S>GDL Master Window<E></E>. Click on the <S></S>2D Symbol Button<E></E> and draw a 2D-symbol you want for your Object.

<T>I've been using some of Kohler's very nice 3D objects in my drawings. They supply 3D .dwg files of many of their products as well as 2D. I'm wondering if it's possible to attach 2D information as well, so the plan drawing would show up in plan view, like the stock objects.

Thanks</T>

In addition to what Ingolf is saying, make sure that the 0,0,0 point in the 2D symbol lines up with the 0,0,0 of the 3D symbol. Otherwise, you might place the 3D object in one location, and your 2D symbol will show up in a different location. For example if you have a cube that is 3'-0x3'-0"x3'-0" in 3D and the bottom left point starts at 0,0,0, then make sure the rectangle in 2D (that represents the cube) has it's bottom/left point at 0,0,0.
