Well in AC12 definitively the Curtain Wall Tool.
If you are in any previous version, you can use either a Library Object called Curtain Wall, which is very tricky, it works as a vector, it has a "head" and a "tail" and not all the times you can predict the result. It works for simple curtain walls.
If you want to design a more complex curtain wall, still in AC 11 or before, you can Use Complex Profiled Walls, where you can have the top Transom, the glazing and the bottom transom. And then you can add additional mullions and transoms with Profiled beams and columns. The advantage of this solution is the freedom of design, because you can add doors and windows to the profiled wall, and move the mullions /transoms all around, even have sloped ones. (You can't do this with the Object)

in any case, If you can get AC12, then spend some 20 mins playing with the curtain wall Tool, you will see how flexible it is.

Good luck, read a book, and switch off the TV.

Regards
