AC12 Library Structure

<T>This issue may be remedial, but I looked at several tutorials and there seems to be no clear way to address this.

Basically, I am migrating to AC12 from AC11.
I had a few objects download from the object depository (a very hearty "thank-you" to all the contributors/authors), and I just added the files to the AC11 Library folder. This file structure made it difficult to navigate and locate objects within AC11.

Basically, want to know if there's a recommended/proven file structure for objects that have been added/downloaded so that they are easily accessed.

Attached is my AC11 Library file structure. Any advice is highly appreciated.
There have been quite a few discussions about library structure; try a search.

You should never put library parts from other sources in the archicad library. Some updates may overwrite the whole library file and then these would be lost

Archicad Library
Project Library - objects specific to the project such as stairs
Office Library - objects used on multiple projects

Thanks for the advice, Erika.

I will create a folder on my hard drive and load them as needed.
i installed the CADimage libraries per instuctions but i think maybe i inadvertantly wiped out some of the standard ArchiCAD library items. how do I go about restoring them?
