There is no way I know of to directly save a GDL object
in an earlier version format but there is a tedious way to
create a copy of it in an earlier format. Using a text editing
application, copy the scripts of the library part and paste them
into the appropriate script windows of a new library part
opened in the AC version you are making the copy for.
Now the tedious part. Open the library part in the latter
AC version and make a screen shot of the parameter list
and make a parameter list for the new part using the
screen shot as a guide. If there are GDL commands in the
later version that did not exist in the earlier version of GDL
you will get errors and the part will not work.
Hi

You can also use the GDL to XML converter tool. However if you aren't familiar with it, it can be a bit hard to get used to.

Hello,

Just post the library, I can make the XML conversion.
No need to use a text editor.
Just open the library part in Archicad 12 and copy & paste the scripts to the older Archicad.
You can also copy and paste the parameters and there descriptions (and values if needed).
It is still very tedious though if there are a lot of them.

The XML converter is what you will want to use if you intend doing this a lot.
