faceted or smooth?

In GDL, usually several mask codes determine if a curved object is faceted or smooth. Is there a general solution to override all such specifications, and have the whole object "smoothed" or "faceted"?

Unfortunately, most complex objects that are created in "profiler" are faulty when they are "smooth", so I get better results if I increase the resolution with RESOL and convert them to faceted objects.

Sorry but no, there is no general override in GDL to change between smooth and faceted. You would have to change the mask or status values.

Out of interest, which profiler tool are you using, and in what way are the objects faulty?
