Do a Google search for 'mannequin 3ds' (for example) to find models. For example:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index. ... /Mannequin">http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm/FuseAction/ProcessSearch/istSearchKey/Mannequin</LINK_TEXT>

You will need to download the free 3Ds importer for ArchiCAD (via the Help > Goodies menu - which brings up a Graphisoft web page) to import 3DS files.

There are also free mannequin objects at Google Warehouse:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... rch&styp=m">http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?q=mannequin&btnG=Search&styp=m</LINK_TEXT>

If you are using Windows, you can import these directly into ArchiCAD.

Mannequins also available free on www.archibase.net , probably converted from 3DS so watch out for lots of polygons and slow render times.

You would understand placing objects using the Object tool - the little chair symbol on the tool palette - explore the object library through this tool. There are already many objects in the Archicad Library supplied with the software. Study them first, especially the idea of "parametric."

Essentials:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/products/arch ... essentials">http://www.graphisoft.com/products/archicad/training_guides/#essentials</LINK_TEXT>

As for using objects from other sites, you download them, put them in a folder and use Archicad's Library Manager to add them to the Library - a database management issue. Most really good objects are polygon-heavy and in 3Ds format. To import these, you'll need to download and install an Add-On, 3D Studio In, a "Goodie" from here:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archi ... 2/USA.html">http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/goodies12/USA.html</LINK_TEXT>
