why does archicad cannot get the material information of the gdl object i download from archibase . How can i add materials or use the gdl as it is. I'm not familiar with gdl script

Within the GDL script Materials are referenced either by name or by ID.
If there is no Material defined in your project with that exact name or ID the object is looking for, then it will not be correctly displayed.
The creator of the object should have provided files with material definitions or possibility for all materials of the object to be set through parameters.

so it is useless? I have to study gdl scripting. I thought i found treasure for the fact that it is for free. I think it is made from 3dsmax and converted to gdl. Some are made in sketchup it think. They are famous furnitures and buildings so i wanted to use it.

Same thing happens to me, I want to use them but I can only have one material for the whole gdl.
I also have the problem that they are making archicad too slow.
