If the symbol is in the 2D Script, and you want to convert it to a 2D Symbol for editing, you might try the method I described here:

2D symbol of Archibase.net objects

<T>I made curved bleacher for a stadium we are designing. I made it using a custom profile and substracting the peripheral curved wall. Then I proceed to save a top view and saved the part as a gdl object. The problem is that in plan you see the vertical walls (risers)underneath the horizontal floors (treads). Is there a way to stop this from happening?
maybe saving another way, or opening the part and fiddling on the 2dl script? Thanks</T>

Hola José,
Open the Object
and edit the 2d symbol as you wish
every hotspot you put will let you snap to it…
