For some time now I ve started making my own objects in archicad by drawing them in floorplan freezing the view in 3d and saving as 3d object  -.gsm&lt;BR /&gt;
how can i create my own objects with parametres etc?? to have in different parts of the same object other lengths other materials?&lt;/T&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Wendy,&lt;BR /&gt;
Learning gdl can be a lengthy process. I found that studying scripts of existing objects gave me a good starting point. There are so many different commands though that it can be overwhelming. The gdl reference guide in the help menu is also a good source of info. You can also download David Nicholson Cole's Cookbook. It's old but most of the syntax has stayed the same. Also, as you know, this forum is handy when you can't seem to find the answer somewhere else.&lt;BR /&gt;
