Hello,

With the ArchiCAD's LibraryDevKit 11
it is possible to export the library as XML from the newer version and then create a new (older version) library with the LibraryDevKit 10.

<T>I saved my AC11 .pln as a an "archicad 10 project". opens fine in 10, except for some of the 11 library parts (custom ones). is it possible to get 10 to read those objects?

thanks</T>

It is possible to copy the scripts in the AC 11 lib part
by using either AC 11 or opening the scripts in certain text editors
and paste the scripts into the appropriate script windows
in a new AC 10 library part. To recreate the parameter list,
make a pdf image of the parameter list of the AC 11
lib part and using it recreate the parameter list
in the new AC 10 lib part. If the AC 11 scripts use
GDL commands new to AC 11 then you will get errors
when you check scripts and the lib part won't work in AC 10.
The only practical solution to "saving backwards" is to use the old library parts from the get-go.

It may be possible to transfer you're ArchiCAD 10 custom object folder and import it into you're version 11 folder?

Sure. Just include that folder in the current library selection.
And then use them instead of the AC11 versions.

There is no restriction on how the library is built.
