topic if/then in Libraries & objects

<T>Hi all,

Is there a way to have a variable step(add) by 1 each time it is copiied?

ie.
d=1
if symbol (copied) then d=d+1

Thanks in advance. Doug</T>

The object ID can be auto-incremented, and that result can be read by the object.
Thanks Karl,

I know that auto increase can be set in WE but that increases all ID's does it not? I just want it to increase for this one object. Obiously I've never done this before but I'm assuming that it can be done in script? If not could you let me know? I'll be headed home shortly and will give it a shot then.

Thanks again, Doug

As I recall, the ID is read-only in a GDL script.
