thanks for the input - I just got an email that cadimage is offering cabinet-builder but it's not on their website so I've emailed them and asked what's going on.

I'll look some more at D3 - sounds like it might work but the end panels may still be an issue as it sounds like the edge of them would be visible in a front elevation which doesn't work for full overlay.

the search continues.....

<T>I'm looking for a good cabinetry library that will allow for inset, partial overlay and full overlay doors and end panels. The AC library objects don't seem to allow that and I can't tell from the website if the D3 library does or not.

Anyone know? Or have others to suggest?

thanks!</T>

there is the cadimage 'cabinet builder' but it doesn't seem to be available on their international website - and the manual isn't up on their domestic website. maybe they're giving it an overhaul. but you could e-mail them and ask about about them sending you a manual to look through:
Yes, the D3 cabinets can do a variety of inset options, but no provision for a parametrically applied end panel. You would have to do a flat cabinet with no toe kick and apply that. But you can adjust the counter overhangs to compensate for the extra thickness. You get some pretty good appliances with the library, too.
