<T>hi

i am attempting to make a door part that adds a sidelight
in the 2D i have a slight problem that can be resolved as i
have seen it in other parts but i cant seem to work out

i want to add a side light to the right hand side, i have been using the
variable 'a' to increase the opening to accommodated the door & sidelight
but need to be able to relocated the 2D opening so that the door remains
in its original location

all i seem to be able to do is increase the opening width which relocates
around the centre point</T>

How your door extend when you change parameter A are depending on your insertpoint. If you use midpoint when you insert your door, the door will expand equal on both sides, or that wasn't your problem?

Damien:

In the main library part window, click on the "Details..." button. In the middle right of this dialog box are 2 variables "X+" and "X-" which allow you to extend the opening to either side. Another method is to relocate the door in the 2D and 3D Scripts so it is no longer centered in the opening, to accommodate the added side light.
