I assume that you want to cut a wall with 3D letters.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
You need a lesson in Solid Element Operation where the 3D text sits in the wall and becomes the "Operator." The wall is the "Target."&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
The information you need to understand the Solid Element Operation is on page 202 of the USA version of Archicad 10's Reference Manual located under the "Help" menu in Archicad.</description>

In the US version it is an object named "Text 3D 10" and can be found at: Object Library 10 &amp;gt; 01 General 10 &amp;gt; Pictures and Texts 10 folder. This object has also been in earlier libraries.&lt;BR /&gt;

I did it because your posting confused me and I wanted to prove that a complex profile like the 3D Text object could cut a wall. &lt;BR /&gt;

Help me out with a sketch or something because your issue is perplexing.</description>

The text must be partially (or entirely) &lt;B&gt;in&lt;/B&gt; the wall.&lt;BR /&gt;

The Solid Elements Operation is live, so if you &lt;B&gt;move&lt;/B&gt; the text away from the wall, the operation goes with it (or if you delete the text, the operation is cancelled). You need to &lt;B&gt;hide&lt;/B&gt; the layer the text is on.&lt;BR /&gt;

You might want to search this forum for more discussion about Solid Element Operations, and reread the Reference Guide&lt;BR /&gt;
