Without buying Cigraph's ArchiForma that places text on an arc, you must do the letters individually.

If the arc is horizontal, make one letter in plan, multiply/rotate the letter into the arc and change each letter to what it needs to be. Rotate again to kern.

As for a vertical arc, it is really one letter at a time.

Did not check whether GDL Toolbox still exists, but it had text curving all over.

Make the text into a Linetype? Sans line.... Use the linetype with a spline or arc of a circle.
