However I do not see a ramp option in stairmaker......I working in 8.1?

click the side arrow next to the stair name in the stair default settings dialogue box. It will bring up a small box where you will choose the option "create new stair". Then choose the icon that looks like a ramp instead of the one that looks like a stair. From here you will enter in the various attributes that will be necessary to complete your ramp (measurements, construction, railings, materials, etc.) Then save the ramp and place it on your project.

<T>8.1 How do I get a railing to follow my ramp that I made with a roof slope.
Or is there a better way to create a straight ramp and a railing to match the slope?

How do you remove the railing extentions from the radius railing gdl?
I've tried the option box and requested 0" overhang and yet I still have about 4'........help please.</T>

Use StairMaker, ramp option. Railings follow the slope.
