<T>Hi
I am having a real problem... I am using AC 10. After a system crash I restored my files and since then I have received this error message every time a library file is accessed.

This is the message I am getting.
" The file or folder name is too long.
msa_cmustd.sash_8x8x16 top(1)/gsm"

the first line is the same
the second line is for the name of the library items from archicad.

Hope someone out there can help!!

Eric</T>

If that message repeats itself for every library item, you're in trouble. Your restore didn't work as it should. Most library objects have a .gsm extension to their file names, seems the dot's been exchanged to a slash?

I would try to re-install Archicad with its libraries from the original CDs,and then download and apply the appropriate hotfixes. And pray that I've got a good backup for the office's own library parts.
