topic The Inside/Outside parameter reverses the door swing? in Libraries & objects

<T>the whole door behaviour is wrong. telling a door that the swing is inside or outside SHOULD NOT CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE SWING.
This is so completely wrong I am amazed its never been reported until now. This is a major conceptural bug... completely wrong ... the fundamental action (from the ArchiCAD manual) is that when placing a door the final click indicates the direction of the swing... that the decision you make. Identifying which is inside or outside should not change the direction of the swing.
This issue is far more important than the library bug
Changing the inside /Outside parameter should only change the frame and the casing NOT swing direction.
If you haven't looked at or noticed this then please check it out</T>

you are absolutely right! i know that something isn't right - i've just never been able to put my finger on it.

i'm forever changing that setting and 'flipping' to try and get frame/casing, direction of swing and the interior/exterior setting all aligned to my intentions. sometimes it's easy enough, but others it just doesn't do what i expected. that's the cause of it!
Using Cadimage Door and Window Builder, door swings remained, facings, liners flipped as wanted.
