Curved Profiler Objects

<T>Archicad 9... I've made a cornice moulding profile for the exterior of a building. All looked as it should in 3D and section. However, the next day, when I loaded the project, the curved areas have changed to a straight line. No curved lines show up. I've tried various object changes but cannot get the curved lines back.

The library part still looks correct with the curved line but will not show up ion the drawings. I've changed the setting in Magic Wand hoping that would help but no change.

Anyone know how to get the curves back in the profiler library object? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.</T>

I believe it's the CADImage Profiler, as it is not the one that comes with Archicad, but an extra purchase.
Thanks,
Ron,
You say "The library part still looks correct with the curved line but will not show up ion the drawings.". Do you mean in the preview or in the 3D
window of the GDL editing environment ?
Could you post the object ?
I do not have the CADImage Profiler but that should not make
a difference because I believe CADImage Profiler makes an
object made with the TUBE command.
Maybe we could see what the problem might be if we could
test the object.
Unfortunately, posting the object won't help because CADImage,
as I now remember, hides their scripts and it may be necessary
to have the add-on to even see the object.
Those that have the add-on might be able to help.
Ron,
I downloaded the object "Trim 7.gsm" and
placed an instance in a new project.
The profile had only nine straight segments.
I checked the preview and it showed nine straight segments.
I opened the object in the GDL editing environment
and found that it appears to be an Archicad Profiler object
not a CADImage Profiler object.
The 3D view showed nine straight sides and the
Tube command in the 3D script had 10 polyline nodes.

As far as I can tell from the script, This object could
not have drawn a profile with apparent curves.
It would have had to have many more polyline nodes.

Thanks for trying. Not sure what happened. The preview of the object shows the curved lines but now that's the only place that does. All else now just has straight line..

WI will try a different approach. Again, thanks for trying.
Ron,
I noticed in the 3D script that the resol was set to 6.
Profiler uses the Magic Wand setting for resolution of circles
to decide how many segments arcs should have
even though it does not use additional status codes
but writes the parameters for polyline nodes. The number
of polyline nodes for arc segments is equal to the resol
which is equal to the resolution of circles as set in
the Magic Wand settings.

Draw the profile you want again but, before you invoke
Profiler, set the resolution of circles in the Magic Wand
settings to say 36 or greater.
I tested this and it works.

Let us know how it works for you.
I just discovered something with respect to how Profiler works.
In my last post I said "Profiler uses the Magic Wand setting
for resolution of circles to decide how many segments arcs should have"
This is how Profiler works now but in 8.1 it sets it's own resolution and
the magic wand settings has no effect.
