<T>I have a full height glass panel inserted as a window. Is there any way in the 2d scripting to change the way it shows up when the display option for windows and doors is set to reflected ceiling plan (which otherwise just shows the header on the opening? I need to see the line of the glass on the RCP.</T>

ideally, in the RCP, I'd see both the glass (same as what's scripted in the regular view) AND the header from the wall opening.

Any thoughts?
Wes,
As far as I can tell, RCP completely disables all 2D elements including
hotspots, fills, fragments etc. This seems to be true except for
one caveat which is, if you reduce the 2D opening to zero using
the oversize fields in the "Details" the opening does not appear
in the normal view and it does not appear in the RCP view either.
I can't think of any way to enable any 2D element of a door or window
when in the RCP view.
Wes,
I thought of one dumb way and that is to
place two identical instances of the window
exactly in the same location and explode
one of them and the exploded one will show
when RCP is enabled.
I hope you don't need to defeat RCP
for every door and window.
not every door/window, just the ones that go all the way up to the ceiling and would, as such, appear on the reflected ceiling plan.

ah well... perhaps when AC gets around to allowing one to control the height at which a plan is cut, and what direction it looks. i think this would be auseful thing to be able to control with gdl. maybe i'll make atrip to the wish list.

Wes,
Are you thinking of inventing a new architectural graphic convention ?
Your notion of controlling which way the plan is looked at, up or down
sounds like you are. No more reflected ceiling plans. Just "look up views"
nah - nothing CRAZY like that I'd just like for the RCP to show the glass in my sidelites if I tell it to.

Wes:

I would just like to be able to control parts based on more display options. We currently have: REQUEST ("window_door_show_dim", " ", show) Returns 1 in the show variable if Options/Display Options/Doors & Windows is set to “Show with Dimensions”, 0 otherwise. Can be used to hide/show custom dimensions according to the current Display Options. Just adding the other display options to this request function would solve your problem. Just my 2 cents.
What we really need are just separate display options for doors and windows. I've always hated that they were lumped together.
