All old and new librarys are loaded? The old objects are still in the old library?
Try it with just the original and the new library. None else.

Have you tried to debug the objects?

Custom Library Question

<T>Hi all,

we've created a new library for our office, and have made some new door symbols that will work better for us. We simply took the ArchiCAD door symbols, and adjusted the parameters (which ones will be seen and which won't), and saved them as a new door. We're able to get them to work just fine, but we have a slight problem: when we make a new ArchiCAD pln file, and we place our first door, only the door marker and an empty space appear. When we select the empty door, open the Settings menu, and press ok, the door appears in our drawing. Once we have one door, that same door will appear the next time we place a door. Any other door, we need to go through the same process.

We tried making a .pla file with the new doors, hoping this would fix the proble, but the same thing keeps happening.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!</T>

Yes, we've tried loading just one library, then the other one. The doors work fine once we've opened and closed the settings menu. They have unique names. We didn't alter any of the code; we simply turned off some of the parameters so that they don't show up in the menus (ie, Hardware set, etc).

Once the Door Settings menu has been opened and closed, the doors appear normally.

The old library doors have no problems at all.

I remember these troubles when we changed from AC7/8.1 to 9. Are these native AC9 objects? Do you have installed the latest hotfix (5)?

Try to delete the preferences. A HowTo is searchable here in the forum, I think.

I have had this sort of thing happen occasionally.
Have you tried opening the library part, check script
in all the script windows, and check the 3D and 2D windows.
If everything appears to be OK then save the lib part again.
Sometimes just saving the part again fixes the problem
but sometimes the new parameter values cause an error
which intern causes the part to have strange but not fatal problems.
