topic XYZ Location object - some GVs dont work in Libraries & objects

<T>An ArchiCAD reseller asked me for a simple 2D object that you could place in a storey or a plan and it shows its XYZ location. This takes just a few minutes if you relate it to the world origin.

But theres more to this than just symb_pos_x etc, He was after something that would show it in relation to a local project origin, not the world origin. i found that the global variables GLOB_WORLD_ORIGO_OFFSET_X etc. which are supposed to locate XYZ positions in relation to a Temporary Origin do not work in 9.0, they always come in as Zero, wherever the object or the local origin is. Couldnt find anything about XYZ location in earlier AC-talk conversations.

I also made an object using the SAMPLE script provided by GS to illustrate the use of these GVs, and they dont work in that object either!!</T>

Hello David,

The two Globals are new in AC9. As I don't believe, that they are not working straight from the start, maybe they have to be used in another environment. As GLOB_SUN AZIMUTH is only available in 3Dmode. Maybe GS can give some hints about it. I tried the sample script too and got only world- and object position.
