topic Obtain zone information via GDL in Libraries & objects

<T>Hi,

Can anyone confirm if there is a way to query zone information from within a GDL script? I wish to be able to place a GDL object that will query the current project database for specific zone names and areas. This information need to be calculated and tabulated in a specific way and the results displayed graphically by the object.

I can obtain the information I need with a SQL query, but I don't think a SQL query can be run against the project database via GDL? I have also looked at using the Interactive Scheduler, but it doesn't allow for the exact tabulation and graphical representation required.

The only other way I thought to achieve this is for the Zone label to write to a data / text file and the GDL object obtain its information from this file however this is a clumsy way to get the desired result.

If anyone has any other thoughts on getting the zone information into a GDL object please let me know.

Kind Regards,
Danny</T>

The only way to get some of these informations is REQUEST ("Zone_relations", .... But only max. of 2 zone categorys, not of all.

There are AFAIK no SQL-requests from within of objects.
