<T>Hello,
I have been consistently running into a problem (see image)
that I have not heard mentioned.
If an SEO is performed on certain objects by either another object
or an Archicad tool element the new surface has no material
and the cut edges are in a rust colored pen.
This does not happen with objects that are made with certain
GDL commands and does happen with objects made with other
GDL commands.
The attached image illustrates the issue.
Has any one else run into this ?
Does any one know how to fix this ?
Thank you,
I've run into it...or something similar. Reported during beta 8.1 and beta 9.0, but still not fixed. <E>😞</E>

I specifically ran into it subtracting a profile object (created by Profile) from a beam to give a carved beam end.

The workaround I've had when I encounter this is to change from "Use Their Own Attributes" (my usual setting) to "Inherit Attributes of Operator", and to change the operator material to be the material of the target.

Hello Karl,
Thank you for that tip.
I will try it.
I actually sent a report to GS about this with a .pln demonstrating
this issue. I will open that project and do your tip.
Thanks,
Karl,
Your tip/work-around works very nicely. Thank you.
I have been making it a habit of collecting issues concerning SEO
and sending files to GS R&D demonstrating those issues.
I have the impression that GS R&D has a team dedicated
to improving SEO and want information about how it presently behaves
so they can fix it in the next version.
Thanks again,
