topic A Simple Window in Libraries & objects

<T>How do I get the W Gliding2 window AC 9 to behave like a simple vinyl
window? That is. no casing, trim or sill. I also have a hard time getting it to be flush with the outside wall.

When I try to eliminate the casing and sill I get a "polygon degenerated" alert and the custom setting becomes erratic. What am I doing wrong? The interface for the window settings seems pretty cumbersome.

In the past I have used other library parts (with better luck)

Thanks,

Consider Options>3D Detail: Simple
This is working for me.

Thanks Dwight! Works great. On thing hower, the 2d plan symbol remains detailed unless I also check "options>2d simple" and then the window has no sill lines at all.

I guess I could add them in as 2d lines, but am I once again missing something?
No. Lines is your best workaround.

If you are unhappy with the decisions made by the element creator, you could always customize the symbol with GDL.

GDL? mmmmmmm....lines sound good to me!
Yeah. With, say, 10,000 lines you would sort of break even timewise if you learned to do this with code.

Of course, that kind of thinking is not what brings world improvement, but after reading Jared Diamond's book, there isn't much reason to celebrate technology.
